Though listed as
Elwood Elementary School, this is actually a reflection
of what the
entire school has read this year. Each grade
level has a specific
point level they must attain as part of
their classroom work.
In addition one of our school
improvement goals is improved reading comprehension.
As part of working towards that goal,
each class takes part in Silent Sustained Reading
(SSR) each day.
The elementary reads 15 minutes each day
and the high school reads the first
ten minutes of odd period classes on odd
numbered days and even on evem
numbered days.

change as students continue to take AR tests
